Johar boasts an extensive 25-year career in the banking industry, specializing in Islamic Investment and Treasury. His professional journey commenced at Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) following his graduation from the University of Manchester in 1995. After a decade at BNM, he transitioned to various financial institutions in Kuala Lumpur, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi, including the Central Bank of UAE. Notably, at the Central Bank of UAE, he led a team in introducing the institution’s inaugural Islamic liquidity product, which facilitated the management of the daily Dirham Islamic Liquidity Market.
